Reettraum Monastery
The house is located in a quiet outskirts of the northern town of Kloster, along a sandy path. The thatched roof house has a rooftop terrace with an unobstructed view to the north, overlooking the highlands of Dornbusch. The adjacent horse meadows create a close-to-nature atmosphere. The West Beach is approximately 800m away. Due to its elevated position, two garden terraces also offer a panoramic view towards the west. The house will undergo high-quality renovation in 2022 and has a usable area of approximately 250 square meters. Completion is scheduled for April 2023. A wellness area with a sauna, steam bath, and rain shower is integrated into an annex building connected to the terrace. The house has a full basement and is operated and air-conditioned by a modern air heat pump.

Close to nature location in the artist community of Kloster with proximity to the beach
Located in the small artist community of Kloster, Reettraum Hiddensee is situated along a sandy path on the northern outskirts. Adjacent to the property are horse meadows, and a sandy path leads up to Dornbusch and the lighthouse. Despite its extremely quiet outskirts location, the town center with the church and shopping facilities is only 400m away. The West Beach is approximately 800m away and can be reached by bicycle in just a few minutes.
Island-typical comfort in detail
Reettraum is equipped with high-quality and contemporary furnishings. The thatched roof, Scandinavian wooden windows, and real wood parquet flooring contribute to the overall sense of comfort. The interior design utilizes natural materials to create a cozy atmosphere. Special attention has been given to the seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces. With the spacious south-west terrace and the north-facing rooftop terrace, there is an ideal spot for every time of day. The high-quality wellness area is housed in a modern annex building, offering a relaxing retreat regardless of the weather.
Charming place of longing behind the neighboring island
Since the 1920s, Hiddensee has been known as the “island behind the island” and has been a place of longing for many city dwellers. During the GDR era, Hiddensee became a preferred destination for free spirits and those seeking an alternative lifestyle. The long, sometimes only 200 meters wide island, shaped like a seahorse, is divided into four villages: the artist village of Kloster below the lighthouse in the north, the island’s capital Vitte, the village of Grieben, and the white fishing village of Neuendorf in the south. Hiddensee offers its guests diverse natural landscapes, such as the highlands of Dornbusch in the north or the unique dune heath in the center of the island.
