Company
Baltic Seaside Properties acquires, develops and operates hotels and holiday properties in renowned Baltic Sea seaside resorts. Our hotels are located in Travemünde, Warnemünde, Binz, on Hiddensee and in Heringsdorf. We develop holiday properties on the Darß peninsula, as well as on Rügen and Usedom. At selected locations, we also offer high-quality, refurbished holiday flats for sale.
Our core business focuses on the modernisation and refurbishment of hotels, which we operate under the Baltic Hideaways brand with our own teams. These are often historic buildings featuring the characteristic seaside resort architecture and situated right on the beach. We manage every stage of the development process ourselves, from architectural planning through to construction.
Since we began operations in 2020, our company has grown to a workforce of 125 employees. Together, we are working on a development portfolio that currently comprises five hotels and around 20 holiday properties.
Background
Our professional background is in digital marketing. In this field, we have founded, built up and subsequently sold several service companies with around 400 employees, whilst holding various roles. Today, we operate in this sector through the company Deep Media Technologies. As a service provider, we were responsible for the digital travel distribution of leading German travel groups for many years. Consequently, we view the operation of hotels and holiday properties primarily as a digital business model.
Design approach
Our properties are situated in renowned Baltic Sea seaside resorts. They are often listed buildings or historic structures in the style of the region’s characteristic seaside resort architecture, which play a key role in shaping the character of their respective surroundings.
During our careful renovation work, we place particular emphasis on preserving and specifically highlighting elements that are characteristic of the local area and of historical significance. We combine these with contemporary interior design, high-quality fittings and a high standard of living comfort. We manage the planning and construction work with our own team of architects and builders.
Brand
Currently, we have around 20 vacation rental properties and two hotels with approximately 500 units under development. As the properties are completed, our inventory in vacation rentals continues to grow steadily. In the future, we will consolidate all properties under the brand “Baltic Hideaways” on one platform. The brand is intended to represent high individuality combined with a consistent promise of quality. For quality reasons, we operate all properties with our own management team.
Management
After studying Economics/Business Administration in Münster, at the Leipzig Graduate School of Management, and at Dartmouth College, he initially worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. Subsequently, he founded a company in the e-commerce sector as well as several companies in the digital marketing field. He sold the companies to various entities, including CTS Eventim, Axel Springer, Stroer, Equistone, and Pro7Sat1.

Georg Monheim has extensive experience in project management in the construction industry. He studied Civil Engineering at the Bauhaus University in Weimar and began his professional career at Hochtief. Here, he was responsible for the construction of office buildings, industrial facilities, and residential buildings. At ECE in Hamburg, he was in charge of planning and implementing shopping centers in southern Germany. Most recently, from 2016 onwards, he led the real estate department of a Hamburg-based family office, where he was responsible for projects such as the construction of the Family Ministry in Berlin. Today, he is primarily responsible for the approval planning and construction execution of our vacation and hotel properties.
